Swedish cuisine

Swedish cuisine is a typically Scandinavian cuisine similar to the Norwegian and Danish ones. It's characterized by simplicity and wide usage of fish and turnip. The major ingredients here are fresh, marinated and smoke-dried marine produts, as well as products made of venison.

The well-known buffet style of serving food (in other languages called "Swedish table") is not very common nowadays in Sweden, although many hotels here have buffet breakfasts (just like in many other countries) for their guests. Of course, vodka is also one of the most popular alcoholic drinks here. The most famous Swedish vodka around the world is Aquavit.
