Italian cuisine

Italian cuisine is considered to be the ancestor of the fine culinary art. The aroma of Italian dishes cannot be confused with anything else. It's filled with smells of the Mediterranean seafood, flavor of herbs and sweetness of fruits that grow in sun-drenched loans. The Italian cuisine could not be what it is now without salsa di pomidoro, parmesan cheese, macaroni, pizza and ravioli. Among the most typical products used in preparation of meals are vegetables (tomatoes, eggplants, vegetable marrows, lettuce, pepper, artichoke), flour (for preparing macaroni and various baked products), cheese (parmesan, gorgonzola, mozzarella, mascarpone), olives and olive oil, various seasonings (basil, capers, garlic, rosemary, pepperoni), fish and marine products, rice, beef and fatless pork, bird meat, beans, fruits (lemons, oranges, peaches) and berries, mushrooms, almonds, wine, liquors etc.

Of course, among the dishes that are immediately associated with Italy are spaghetti and pizza. Spaghetti, cannelloni and other numerous types of pasta (with wide and detailed classification) are always served with one of many traditional sauces, the large number of which is usually united in the English language, as well as in many other languages by one term "pasta" taken from Italian. Among the most famous and yet simple in preparation meals are Spaghetti Napoli (spaghetti with tomato sauce), Spaghetti Bolognese (with tomato sauce and mincemeat), Spaghetti Aglio e Olio (spaghetti with hot olive oil and slightly fried garlic).
